The Muslimah Ball, held on the last day of term 3 was an enchanting event, bringing together high school girls for a memorable night of glamorous fun and celebration.
The Muslimah Ball was made possible through the generous support of the Victorian Government as part of Youth Fest Victoria alongside the dedication of the SSD Team, SRC team, the many wonderful student volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and members from PFC.
We also sincerely thank our generous sponsors who contributed in a variety of ways to this program including; Antepia Sweets, Afiouni Sweets, MKS Thomastown, Tiba’s Restaurant Roxburgh Park, Chemist, Warehouse Epping, Pharmacy 4 Less Coburg, Silk Aromas, RH Hijabs, Peachy Fuzz Co.
The event MC was ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Captain Areeba Bilal. The night began with an acknowledgment of the Traditional Custodians of the land and opening Qur’an recitation by Mariam Siddiqui, followed by an official welcome from the SSD Team.
The highlight of the event included a very entertaining fashion parade and a talent quest, both facilitated by the very talented Ms. Safiye. Attendees enjoyed a delicious dinner, followed by opportunities to socialize, take fun photos at the photo booth and cultural henna art.
This was a very popular event and we truly hope we can make the Muslimah Ball an annual tradition for Muslim girls, celebrating the spirit of sisterhood and fostering lasting connections.
