Childhood Cancer Advocacy: Great Cycle Challenge

2024 marks the 12th consecutive year of Ms Tanja and Team Al Ƶ riding in the annual Great Cycle Challenge (GCC) to fundraise for kids fighting cancer, having raised over $50,000. The funds raised support research into better treatments and cures for childhood cancers.

GCC Australia is a national Children’s Medical Research Institute fundraising Initiative, kicking off every year on 1st October. Since the first event in 2013, GCC has grown to become one of the biggest cycling events across Australia, enjoyed by more than 100,000 amateurs and professionals from every state and territory. Every year, this incredible community of riders get on their bikes and pedal to fight kids' cancer.

Did you know that cancer is still the largest killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, three children die from cancer every week.
